Jeff has 22 years experience in the construction industry ranging from new construction to tenant build outs and renovations nationwide. His extensive knowledge of the industry and entrepreneurial spirit led to several start up businesses.
In 2000 Jeff was a partner at Skyview Rehab established to buy, renovate & sell high-end investment properties. The success of Skyview led to the creation of JBC, one of the most recognized general construction companies in the Midwest. JBC specialized in commercial tenant build outs on a national level. Jeff discovered a void in the marketplace regarding floor coatings & polished concrete as he traveled the country and listened to concerns of his JBC clients. In response to these concerns, he resolved to bring a new paradigm to the coatings & polishing industry.
Jeff founded Sealguard in 2008 to meet the needs of those who expect innovative products, while maintaining top notch quality & workmanship on a National Level.
As an Entrepreneur, John was founder & CEO of JFK Construction & Design, a national construction company. Under John’s leadership, JFK Construction grew from a start-up company to a major player in the retail construction industry. The firm had an average of 250 projects in progress annually with nearly 40 superintendents nationwide. Killoren negotiated rights of exclusivity on a national and regional level to act as the sole general contractor for several major clients in the United States. He is a member of the International Consul Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Institute of Store Planning (ISP)
In addition, Killoren was the founder & CEO of OneSource Retail, a manufacturing company that produced retail fixtures, storefronts, and signage for massive retail store roll-outs. This company purchased, inventoried, and warehoused most items needed to open a new retail store, “A Store In A Box”. Many items were imported such as lighting, flooring, ceiling materials. Supported Lids Corp with opening over 450 stores in a 3- year period. The value proposition was speed to the market place with a process proven to open retail stores faster than any competitor in the industry. The company was a start-up in 2000 as it doubled in revenue each year until it was sold in 2006. OneSource remains a strong player in the industry.
Killoren is Co-Founder of Eudora Global, a unique business creation and acceleration firm focused on generating superior returns for its stakeholders. Eudora was formed in January 2011 by a deeply talented team with a vision of leveraging its subject matter expertise, broad-based skills and robust capabilities for accessing global markets to build businesses in the future-rich sectors of Health Care Services & Multi-currency digital wallet/payment ecosystem.
Glenn has been in the construction business since high school. After graduating high school, he went on to earn his Associate’s degree in Architectural Engineering from ITT Tech in 1973.
Through his years as part of a Research and Development designer, his work involved several exclusive projects including the pilot’s flight grip for the Great Britain version of the Harrier AV8/B. As a graphic artist he had the opportunity to illustrate several technical reference books and manuals for the piping industry.
As the head of the research department, he worked closely with UL (underwriters Laboratory) and other testing facilities to achieve their seals of approval.
Glen holds several patents for his designs in the mechanical industry and is continually working on new projects.
As a member of the engineering field, he was elected to the Society of Manufacturing Engineers where through the years he served as; Career Development Chairman, Bulletin Editor, Secretary, 3rd Vice Chairman, 1st Vice Chairman, and Chairman.
In 1976 he started Yankee Ingenuity, a construction company that specialized in the design and building unique houses that were outside the normal “cookie cutter” trends. His background skills allowed him to manage up to 60 construction trades in the construction of his projects. All of which his technical background gave him the self taught/hands on skill and insight of the operations of each trade he worked with.
In 2006 he formed a land development company “Greenscape Properties”, a company that developed a multi-million dollar housing community. This venture required him to present a project to the state of Illinois allowing for the construction of a sewer treatment plant on site of a housing development. As a result, a new law was introduced and passed by the state.
Through the years, he has served the community by being a youth camp director.
In 2000 he accepted the position of Mission Director of his church and was ordained as a licensed minister. This position has given him the opportunity to lead over 35 mission trips to foreign countries and in 2007 formed “Missions Possible” a ministry that supports missionaries throughout the world by meeting the needs of their community. His travels have taken him to 18 countries so far building orphanages, schools, churches, feeding centers. A lot of the work requires working w/ local governments for disaster relief and child welfare.
Chris is a senior team leader / project supervisor with Sealguard. He graduated from the police academy in 1998 and began his career in law enforcement right away. He remained on the force until starting a family. Since then, he has 17 years of construction background with experience in several trades including flatwork, framing, plumbing, painting and landscape. Chris joined the Sealguard team after taking a break from the construction industry to try something new. He managed a local chain store for 3 years and received several awards for being top employee and exceeding sales goals. Chris has a strong work ethic and a desire to complete every task with excellence. He strives to motivate others to do the same.
In 2015, Chris received Tradesman Certification from the Concrete Polishing Association of America. Other certifications include Citadel Floor Finishing Systems, and Prosoco Advanced Troubleshooting.
April has 21 years of office experience. Her main focus has been in the insurance industry.
In 1995, April began working at Ohio Casualty Group where she quickly learned her job and was cross trained in other areas. She completed INS courses that supported her role at the company level. After being promoted in several departments, she decided to leave the underwriting sector and accept a position with a local agency to work directly with customers in 2001. She obtained her Life/Health and Property/Casualty insurance certifications to provide all areas of sales, service and marketing. She keeps these licenses maintained by completing the required continuing education courses every year.
In 2006 April opened Perfectly Created Custom Keepsakes. This business provides one of a kind bronze hand and foot impressions of babies and small children. She expanded that business by offering additional custom items for purchase – such as personalized burp cloths, custom made baby slings, bronzed baby shoes and pacifiers. In 2011 she was offered the opportunity to purchase a franchise territory from Pattycakes International which she accepted. She changed the name to STL Pattycakes, launched a new website and went to work marketing her new and improved business. In 2014, she had the highest number of sales and growth within the Pattycakes family.
In 2010, April joined the team at SealGuard. She handles all the office management needs from Human resources, to accounts payable/receivable. She is good at multi tasking and learning new things when asked to do so. She is a team player and strives to be the best support staff she can be.
Spenser Schmitt is the Director of Business Development with SealGuard. He graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor of science in Business Marketing from the University of Missouri – St. Louis. He currently sits on the Marketing Advisory Board at UMSL and contributes to the long-standing success in developing students for careers in Marketing and various Business Development fields.
KMOV’s Great Day St. Louis featured Spenser as a lead representative of UMSL and Chevrolet’s Annual Marketing competition. He led his team at UMSL to its first victory in the 5 years Mid-America Chevy Dealers have teamed up with area universities. He has brought his expertise in team leading, developing relationships, challenging traditional business thought, and advancing customer acquisition processes to SealGuard and its surrounding partners.
Spenser is a member of the Retail Design Institute (RDI) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and contributes a strong sense of helping those around him become better in the construction arena. Identifying the needs for commercial businesses is just one of the passions both SealGuard and their Director of BD have in common.
